Tiny Bio | Sarah Hempel Irani, a sculptor with over two decades of experience, has crafted expressive figures in clay, bronze, and stone. Originally from Michigan, she honed her skills as an apprentice in Maryland under the guidance of a former Washington National Cathedral artist-in-residence.

Tiny Statement | "Bound Head #1" represents a departure from my usual artistic endeavors in monumental sculpture, challenging me to explore the intricate details and intimate scale of a smaller form. This tiny sculpture invites viewers into a world where the grandeur of my typical works is distilled into a concentrated essence. Based in Frederick, Maryland, Sarah resides in a charming brick cottage with her family. Beyond the studio, she tends to her garden, enjoys opera, and daydreams about Paris.
